Thanks for spending some time looking around. I'm Richard, the person behind this site. I'm originally from the UK and I've been based in Japan since 2000.
Since 2004 I've been working in short- and long-term partnerships with private and public clients including Audio-Technica, Kumon and regional boards of education, helping them improve and expand.
I specialize in helping organizations develop cultures of innovation, creativity, problem solving and curiosity.
My work spans the fields of design, education and law (and more): Basically the things I'm passionate about, and the things I've studied and practiced for over twenty years.
I help people create courses and materials, design logos and promotional materials, and develop creative systems to help their organizations succeed.
People I've partnered with and worked with will tell you I'm passionate and dedicated. Much more can be achieved if we work together for a long time, and I'll ensure that whatever we do together is uniquely designed to help you set and accomplish your goals.

The blog is a collection of thoughts, opinions and things I like, mainly about design and education. It's also a space to share what I'm working on. It's occasionally spiced up with bits and bobs about living in Japan, the odd thing about sports and health, and whatever else is bouncing around my head at any given time.
The blog is all free of course, except for me as I have to pay for it. That being the case, if you'd like to hire me, sponsor a post, advertise or buy one of my lovely offerings, I would be knee-tremblingly happy!
Thank you for reading!
