World's lightest folding bike by Hummingbird

London-based Hummingbird Bike Company has launched the world's lightest folding bike, manufactured by British motorsport company Prodrive.

The frame is constructed from carbon fibre, topped off with an aluminium swinging arm, which means the bike weighs in at a smidgen under 7kg, which is pretty bloody light. The bike comes in single speed and four speed varieties, and four colours, and the company plans to release an electric version at the end of the year.

As you can see, it folds up pretty neatly. As I've been looking for a folding bike, this caught my eye and I'd be particularly keen on the single speed version, but as it starts at £3,495, I don't think it'll be gracing my driveway just yet.
