Business of Design Week (BODW) welcomes Chicago as its first North American city partner to join its 15th annual event. The theme of “ChicagoMade” embodies the elements of inspirational design and transformative innovation for the city.
“ChicagoMade” aims to recognizing Chicago's "makers" as ambassadors to elevate the city's brand and innovation hub, to stimulate business growth, attract talent, and generate a sense of pride among Chicagoans.
On this occasion, Hong Kong and Chicago will be collaborating to share their design inspirations in modern architecture and urban transforming. Some of the keynote speakers include Carol Ross Barney, Founder of Ross Barney Architects and the lead design architect of the Chicago Riverwalk, Carlo Ratti, the Director of MIT Senseable City Lab and Founder of Carlorattiassociati, and Raaja Nemani, Founder and CEO of Bucketfeet, a Chicago brand that combines and casual wear.
The speakers will share their experience relating to Chicago local architecture, design and city planning with the theme of mixing new concepts with traditions.
Business of Design Week will be held from 30th November to 3rd December 2016 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
