I've been doing some research for a post I'm writing (hopefully coming in the next couple of days) and stumbled upon a comment basically saying "I'd have thought Paul Rand would have designed himself a better logo for a presidential bid."
First of all I was surprised because I didn't think Paul Rand ever ran for president (he didn't). Secondly, I was surprised that the person commenting was talking about the 2016 election (Rand died in 1996).
Word order matters
I quickly realised they meant Rand Paul, who uses this logo, which isn't too shabby at all as political logos go:
Anyway, I think the 2016 US election is a pretty effective case study for communication design, so I'll be discussing that further soon.
