Client: Kumon Learning Therapy [website] Project: Research, development, writing and art direction of learning therapy materials. |
Kumon Learning Therapy produces materials to help people suffering from Alzheimer's disease. I was asked to produce over 1,000 English language worksheets to be used in nursing homes and institutions in the UK and USA. Preliminary trials of the materials have proven very successful. |
The project not only required a great deal of research into subject matter, but also careful consideration of font use, word choice, grammar and use of images. The project is ongoing and I am currently leading the art direction. |
Client: we+ [website] Project: Editing and proofreading of promotional video. |
we+ is a small creative company based in Tokyo. They asked me to edit and proofread some English materials for their 'PLAY' SIGG project. |
'PLAY' SIGG is an interactive installation created from SIGG bottles. The project is in the running for a number of international art prizes. |
Client: Mika [website under development] Project: Logo, identity and web design. |
Mika is a jewellery designer based in Tokyo. She asked me to design a logo and identity for the relaunch of her business. |
The project included producing a logotype in Japanese script (hiragana), some Japanese and English copy, and a logo representing Mika's work and style. You can read more about the project here. |
Client: Kumon Institute of Education [website] Project: Recommended Reading List website design and development. |
Kumon is the world's largest provider of after-school learning programmes. I was asked to design, develop and create a website for the Native English Language Programme Recommended Reading List. |
I had already created learning materials for the programme and helped research, compile and produce the paper-based Recommended Reading List. The website was launched in 2011 and has proven very popular. It can be found here. |
