Green Designs

I have - very happily - been invited to take part in a series of discussions and presentations on green design and tips for creating a greener home and workplace, which will be held in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya (dates and venues to be confirmed). If you are in Japan (or plan to be within the next six months or so) and would like to either attend the discussions, get involved, make suggestions or otherwise show interest or support, feel free to email me. Attendance to the first planned events, I am told, will be by invitation only. However, should they turn out to be useful, I would like to put something together in the future to allow a lot more people to have their say.

On a related note, sometime last year (I think) we introduced a project called 'create...', which nobody really knew how to take. Some brave souls submitted suggestions, but the project died a quiet death not longer after it, erm, got going. Some braver souls - you know who you are - suggested that, as most* of the suggestions were related with all things environmental, we might want to do something with that. Suggestions have continued to trickle in, so it might be a good time to start something with a bit more focus; i.e. something that people can understand and contribute to. The name 'Green Designs' has been suggested.

Drop us a line if you would be interested, would like to contribute, have any great ideas, think it's a stupid idea, whatever.

*When I say 'most' of the suggestions, by the way, I am referring to about 42 of the 50-something we received...
